Telahun Liad Samuel joined CTA in 10th grade after living in Israel for 15 years. He competed on the baseball team for 3 years and served as a captain in his senior year. He also played basketball and soccer for 2 years, and served as a captain in soccer in his senior year. Yaacov Moshe Peltz has attended CTA since 8th grade. He has played all 3 school sports since joining the school, and was a captain on both the basketball and baseball teams in his senior year. In his sophomore year, he won the Matthew Erik Peltz Talmud Award; in his junior year, he won the Pearson and Thea Press Judaics Studies Award. He loves learning Torah, and can be frequently found at the Columbus Community Kollel. He loves to grill and make sourdough bread. After graduating he plans to attend Yeshivat Kerem Biyavneh to focus on his Torah learning and spiritual growth. Another Scholarship Dinner auction prize redeemed! Eli and his classmates made "Hebrew" Fruit Salad. They learned how to make Fruit salad using strawberries (tutim), bananas (bananot), apples (tapochim), and clementines (klemantinot). The students cut the fruit and topped the fruit salad with whipping cream and chocolate syrup. They learned new words such as מזלג כפית צלחת קערה סכין (Knife, bowl, plate, teaspoon, fork, etc) Thank you Morah Eva, Morah Chen-Li, and Morah Miriam for the team work and to Mrs. Tanenbaum for providing all we needed.
